The ADEA AADSAS Fee Assistance Program (FAP)

 

Announcement!

As of Friday, May 18, 2023, all 2023-24 ADEA AADSAS Fee Assistance Program funds have been depleted. 

 

If you have already applied for the 2023-24 ADEA AADSAS Fee Assistance Program:

  • You will be receiving a decision starting the week of May 30. Do not submit your ADEA AADSAS application until you have received a decision about your FAP application. Fee assistance awards cannot be applied to your account after submission.

 

Additional funds may become available after June 16 if all approved FAP applicants have not used all their funds. As such, you are being provided with two choices:

 

  • You may complete and submit your ADEA AADSAS application now and forgo any potential FAP funds.
  • You may wait to submit your ADEA AADSAS application to see if additional funds become available. Please note that there is no guarantee that additional funds will be available.

 

If funds become available, all individuals who applied to the 2023-24 ADEA AADSAS Fee Assistance Program by May 19 will have their applications reviewed and processed (first come, first served). 

 

 ADEA is pleased to offer this opportunity to applicants experiencing extreme financial hardship to assist them in becoming dentists.

Eligibility Requirements

 

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
  • The applicant and family total Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) shown on the 2022 1040 tax return must be at or below 200% of the 2022 U.S. Poverty Guidelines.

 

Financial documentation is required to prove an applicant's family is experiencing extreme financial need. The ADEA AADSAS Fee Assistance Program (FAP) instructions outlines the required documentation and submission process.
